Toni Short at Audrey in Meeting Mr. Oscar

As a natural born truth seeker, Toni is committed to a heart-centered way of living & being. She is driven by an insatiable curiosity about how the world works... how we all fit into it... the beauty of our intersecting moments... and the magic of the Universe.

Toni explores the depths of human connection by folding personal storytelling into her dance, movement, writing, singing, art, astrology & play.

Toni is an avid lover & patron of all things fashion, art, food, culture, music, & travel. Now based in New York City, by way of Australia, London and Washington DC.
Toni revels in the chance to connect, create & inspire through her artistic expressions and co-creations.

Inspired by a mix of her own story and other strangers she encountered, bringing Meeting Mr. Oscar to life was a profound and rewarding experience.

Witnessing how the pieces of the puzzle fell into place was a true sign from the Universe that she was on the right path and her dream of bringing nuanced and textured stories of women to life was not only coming true but a calling she could no longer ignore.

Frank Ramero as Mr. Oscar in Meeting Mr. Oscar

Frank Romero
Oscar Chihuaipan

Trinidad born and New York City raised Frank is a well known personality in the world of dance and music.  Best known for his time in the West Village and now established and entertaining his fans on the East side.

His magnetic and vibrant nature shines through from afar and his love of life, along with his well honed stage presence and passion for dancing raises the spirits of all who encounter him.

Frank was cast immediately when Director. Toni Short. spotted him at a local park.  After only moments of speaking she knew he was part of the fabric of the story, a natural Mr. Oscar, and from there a friendship blossomed both on and off screen.

The entire production experience would not have been the same without his warm charm, fabulous sense of humor and commitment to the work.

Ruby

In Audrey’s lonely and small world, Ruby, the goldfish, becomes a meaningful companion
and understanding friend by simply providing love and support for Audrey as she moves emptily through her days.

Audrey rigged a travel seat for Ruby so she can accompany her in the truck as she travels to work everyday.

Ruby was chosen to be a part of Audrey’s story as goldfish are considered as useful totems, spiritual guides and good omens for positivity, luck, wealth, or, in Audrey’s case, a sudden surge of
strength by calling on her when she needs to make an important decision as the film progresses.
